Personal take on real-life sketches

A couple of people have asked me why I don’t make real-life sketches when I can actually make them. Reason is simple – I just don’t like to!
Perhaps very few people share the same sentiment, but I just find drawing real life faces boring. Take a picture! It’ll look even better.
Not to offend those many talented sketchers out there, but I honestly find real-life sketches purposeless as they’re basically an imitation of a photograph. As an artist, I’d rather be unique. Use that creativity in you. Why imitate? That’s why even if I draw real-life faces, I prefer giving my drawings their own body poses. It’ll turn out more exclusive and original.
Thus the reason you’ll find mostly chibis and cartoons on my DeviantArt account. The things you can create with them are limitless!

Copic Marker Doodles

I’ve been doodling ever since the start of May 2015. What got me started were the many inspirational books my colleague gave me. And what more, my Copic markers! I can proudly say that I have completed my collection of all the Copic Ciao markers.
I love drawing chibis. Still practicing the basics though. My favourite muses will still be the Disney princesses. They’re given. I grew up drawing Disney Princesses, and I don’t think I will ever stop drawing them.

Starbucks Cups

I have now started on a new crazy hobby – doodling Starbucks papercups! My colleague who has turned into a Starbucks addict like me has been helping me with the papercup collection. She contributes her used (washed) tall cups to me.
I don’t know how long this mad thing will last. One cup can last me hours of doodling. I can only do it during my free time at home.

Reacquainting with Wacom Cintiq

It's been such a long time since I last touched my Wacom Cintiq which I bought two years ago. Sad I know; as it's been resting on the top of my wardrobe collecting dust all year long. I have unfortunately no place to put it on my desk hence the abandonment.
Well, by some fortunate chance, my craving to do something with my Cintiq returned to me just recently. I'm currently trying to re-familiarise myself with it.
