What do I mean? For example: Kim Possible's Ron Stoppable is Jewish. This gives occasion for at least one episode (& numerous fanpic's & famfic's) to explore the issue
another example: the Birth of Christ. The number of paintings that show the birth of Jesus as an Inuit, an Asiatic, or whatever ethnic background, cannot be counted.
still another example: all the different versions of stories in different lands; like the story of Cinderella: in China, the Fairy Godmother is a magical talking fish.
Therefore, I think it's very cool to portray Harry & friends as celebrating Hari Raya,
Christmas, Yom Kippur, whatever
it doesn't detract from the story at all
